The Unsexy Business?

Everyone dreams of making a big score selling something online and living the dream of working at home in any country you like. Similar to shows like American Idol, people dream of getting ‘discovered’ and making it big. This is totally understandable!

However we need to think more practically. If you consider another post I did on how I make money with Google Adsense on Youtube, what if you had one hundred little businesses making you $81.22 per month? Or you increased the number of videos (from 50 to say 1000 videos). Now granted, this would take a ton of work, and could be incredibly boring at times but you get the idea.

The other benefit to doing this is it breaks the larger task of making $8000/month (or whatever your goal is) into smaller manageable pieces. Remember “The journey of 1000 miles must begin with a single step.” Instead of being overwhelmed thinking you need to sell a ton of one product, what if you set your goal to make one business/product make you $80/month for example. Do everything you can focused on that single goal. Then replicate the process over and over again.

The most difficult part of this will be to continue to take action during the replication process because this is not as ‘sexy’ as having one business become hugely successful. You might even consider outsourcing some of this work using sites such as Elance.
