Setting up a Free Wordpress.com Blog

By admin

If you read the last blog post on Getting Started with Affiliate Marketing, you hopefully have signed up to start selling an affiliate product, and have posted your affiliate link in some of the social networks like Facebook, MySpace, or Twitter. The problem is you don’t want to do this every day or you will start to annoy your friends and family!

A better approach is to create content that people in your niche will be interested in reading or watching. Then people will find your content using the google (or other) search engines. You don’t even have to write much of your own content, you could post videos or links to other articles about your topic perhaps with some of your own comments.

You can learn how to set up your blog here. You can also use wordpress to create a full blown website (using pages in addition to posts).

Note that you will probably eventually create multiple websites under one account. The name of your website should have the keywords of your niche in it such as ‘learnguitar’ so that the URL will look something like http://learnguitar.wordpress.com.
